How much seed oil is in The Simple Greek's food?
The Simple Greek averages an estimated 8.9g of seed oil PUFA per menu item, about 2.2 days of the 4g daily goal many people in the seed oil free community aim for, in one average item. Method and grade scale on the methodology page.
What The Simple Greek cooks with
The cooking oil is canola, per the chain's own per-component ingredient statements (the earlier "olive oil for cooking" was wrong). The Mediterranean Garlic Sauce is a soybean-oil mayo. Fries and pita chips are fried in "Canola, Sunflower, Cottonseed, Palm, Corn, Soybean". Olive oil appears only in the cold items. Gyro meat (lamb/beef blend) is spit-roasted.
