What is the reasoning for premium? (and what it actually is)
Everything that matters in this app is free and always will be.
The tracker, the whole restaurant database, the receipts behind every number, the scanner, reading and replying here in the forum.
None of that will ever go behind a paywall. Not the best features, not the main features. That is a promise.
So what does premium unlock?
My blog.
The ability to post more than 3 times a week here (the 3 post limit exists to keep spam accounts out, not to squeeze anyone).
The number 1 and number 2 spots in Best Near Me.
The chain ordering guides.
And the 30 Day Reset.
Nice to have, not stuff you need to eat clean.
Here is the real reason to buy it. This app has no investors and no big company behind it. It runs on people who chip in for premium. Every subscription keeps the servers on, pays for the work that fills in the menu data, and pushes us toward the thing I actually care about: a study big enough to prove, with real numbers, what seed oils do to people. The study is already in the app (Settings, Join the seed oil study). More people, more data, more proof. Premium is what funds it.
So think of it as a donation with a few perks, not a feature unlock. $1.99 a month or $15.99 a year, cancel anytime. If you cannot swing it, no worries at all, keep using the free app and keep posting. If you can, thank you. You are quite literally what makes this grow.
