100 chains fully documented, and 1.6.0 lets you ask Siri

Two things this week.

We hit 100. A chain counts as fully documented when every item on its menu comes from the chain's own published fat numbers instead of our estimate. All of it, not most of it. As of today that is 100 US chains, including McDonald's, Subway, Starbucks, Dunkin', Taco Bell, Chipotle, Chick-fil-A, Wendy's, Five Guys, Whataburger, Olive Garden and Shake Shack. That is 5,947 menu items where you can hold your finger on the row and see the exact panel line the number came from. The four that pushed us over were Mr. Hero, Perkins, Peet's Coffee and Smoothie King. One miss the receipts caught: Mr. Hero's regular Pepperoni & Cheese Bites come in at about 27.6 g of PUFA, fried in soybean oil. Our old estimate was 7 g. 1.6.0 is live on both stores, and the theme is talking to the app. On iPhone, say "Hey Siri, does Chick-fil-A use seed oils in Seed Oil Tracker" and Siri reads back what the chain cooks with, its grade and the cleanest thing to order. The app stays closed. Everything you can say ends in "in Seed Oil Tracker": Check my seed oil, Check a restaurant, Log a meal, Log my usual, Log Chipotle, Log a food, Scan a barcode, Find raw milk. They also show up as buttons in the Shortcuts app. On Android, Google Assistant can hand off to the app: try "search Seed Oil Tracker for waffle fries". If you use Claude or ChatGPT, setup for Claude is at seedoiltracker.com/mcp-setup and the Seed Oil Tracker GPT is in the ChatGPT store.
