How much seed oil is in Casey's's food?
Casey's averages an estimated 15.0g of seed oil PUFA per menu item, about 3.8 days of the 4g daily goal many people in the seed oil free community aim for, in one average item. Method and grade scale on the methodology page.
What Casey's cooks with
soybean oil in the fryer and the pizza crusts (the chain's own ingredient statements), but the bakery and several sides are not soybean and the record used to imply they were: donuts, the apple fritter and the cinnamon bun are palm and/or cottonseed and/or canola; the Sugar, Iced Sugar and Snickerdoodle cookies are palm only; the fries, hashbrown and potato cheese bites are "vegetable oil (canola, palm, soybean, sunflower)"; the cappuccino and hot chocolate creamers are coconut oil. Appended 2026-09-18 from the chain's own statements read item by item off its 9/9/2026 nutrition guide and product pages; pools follow the chain's statement per row.
