What Ford's Garage cooks with
Likely soybean oil, though no Ford's Garage document names it outright. They deep-fry a lot (Ford's Fries, Classic Tots, Truffle Fries, Piston Onion Rings, Sweet Potato Tots, Hand-Battered/Chicken Tenders, Beer-Battered Fish 'N Chips, Famous Firestone Shrimp). The chain's Dec-2023 nutrition PDF (since taken down; the April 2026 HTML guide at fordsgarageusa.com/nutrition-guide prints no poly/mono columns) showed every one of those items running roughly 2.5x more polyunsaturated than monounsaturated fat with modest saturated fat (e.g. fries: 29g total fat, 5g sat, 12g PUFA, 5g mono), the soybean-oil signature rather than canola's. The April 2026 panels still fit: fried items run 14-21% saturated (fries 4.5/26, onion rings 2.5/18, fish 9/55), matching soybean and excluding canola, palm and tallow. The allergen guide's "F = fried in shared oil" mark is a cross-contact flag, not an oil disclosure. Burgers get their fat mostly from beef patties; dressings/mayo-based sides likely also carry soybean or canola oil, unconfirmed.
