Six stores in Corpus Christi, Texas filled their fryers with beef tallow instead of vegetable oil in a three month test that started in late February 2026. Fries, corn dogs, chicken tenders and jalapeno poppers all go in the tallow, and the company said it may expand the test in Texas. Source
