Pizza Hut Fry Oil by Country
Pizza Hut does not fry in the same oil everywhere. In the 4 countries where the chain itself states its fryer oil, it names 3 different oils or blends. Every row below comes from what Pizza Hut has said for that country: its own page, ingredient list or a company statement.
At a glance
- Canola (rapeseed) oil: Canada, Ireland
- Canola (rapeseed) and soybean oil: New Zealand

What Pizza Hut says in each country
| Country | Fryer oil the chain states |
|---|---|
| Canada | Canola (rapeseed) oil (a high-oleic grade is named)What our record sayscanola oil in the fryers for WingStreet wings, fries and potato wedges - and the chain names the grade itself: French Fries are "Cooked In High oleic low Linolenic Canola Oil" in the August 2025 Ingredient Listing, which the printed 6.4% saturated share confirms. "Vegetable Oil" elsewhere in that listing is canola or soybean, unspecified. Pan Release is soybean oil. The Handcrafted and Stuffed Crust doughs are canola plus sunflower, not the blanket soybean the record used to claim (corrected 2026-09-18). |

On our record, with no source quoted
Our record names an oil for these countries, but the record does not quote where the chain says it. We show them apart so you can tell the two kinds of row apart.

Why does the oil change at the border?
The chain does not say. None of the pages we read gives a reason for using one oil in one country and a different one in the next. So we ask the question and leave the answer open: if Pizza Hut can fry in one oil there, why not here?
What we can say for sure is narrower. Each row is what the chain published for that country, read on or before October 13, 2026. A statement can be years old, so open "What our record says" for the wording and any caution we noted. Spot one that is out of date? Tell us in the app with "Wrong? Let us know" on that chain.
